The Awesome Antics School Holiday Program provides leisure activities for young people aged 10-16 who live or go to school in the City of Gosnells.

Action packed indoor and outdoor activities that allow young people to socialise, meet new friends and have fun in a safe, supervised environment.

Location: Thornlie Community Centre - 14 Glenbrook Road, Thornlie

When: Tuesday to Friday from 8.30am to 3.30pm

These programs are fully supervised and require membership, booking and payment. Lunch is provided every day on this program.

To participate you must:

  • Be aged between 10 - 16 years old.
  • Live or attend school within the City of Gosnells.
  • Be a Youth Services Member - please ensure you have completed this membership form at least 3 weeks prior to the program start in order to book in to Awesome Antics.
  • Book in the program - Bookings open 3 weeks prior to the program start.

In a program or event where the participant is registered, the City is responsible for that young person within the time-frame of the program/event and staff will remain at the program/event until all participants have been collected. Parents are expected to be on time to pick participants up.

Please note:

  • If a child requires additional supervision / support, their support requirements are to be discussed with the program supervisor before they are booked into the program, to ensure adequate staffing provision can be made available. Please contact the City of Gosnells to discuss this.
  • Should the program supervisor assess that your child requires specialised support staff to access the program; your child will need to be assessed for eligibility to receive Home and Community Care (HACC) services by the Regional Assessment Service (RAS). Possible specialised support can then be discussed with the City’s Disability Services Coordinator on 9391 6040. Due to limited resources, this support is not guaranteed, however allowing at least six weeks before the start of the school holidays increases the chance of the City being able to make staffing provision.
  • The City’s Disability Services also provides support for children aged between 12 and 16 years with disability, through the Awesome Fun Club. Please contact the Disability Services Coordinator on 9391 6040 for more information.
  • There will be other youth orientated activities running during the holidays, including skate jams at the city’s skate parks and youth activities at the libraries.
